GM has issued a service bulletin on some vehicles that consume large amounts of oil and recommended replacing this type of PCV valve.
a check ball guy. GM issued a service bulletin about some vehicles using too much oil and recommended replacing the PCV valve with this type. In my case it worked perfectly. I burned a lot of oil which caused it to flow through the ball valve and once I had it installed the difference in the amount of oil flowing through the valve was huge.
