This light literally took about four minutes to install. To be honest Chevy parts are very easy to swap out in my experience. At least for the older model truck I have, it's a 2003 Chevy Tahoe Z71. The only thing you might need is to buy a new rubber gasket around the light. My old one still works fine but I will be replacing it too. The flashlight itself is excellent and works well. Connect, test, install and make sure the grommet/fixing is secure and you're done.
