I bought this little module because I used to buy Netgear products (4 port hub and 56K modem/router combo) . What I hated most about the RP411 was the interface. The HTTP interface only allowed configuration of SOME router settings. While the Telnet interface was more advanced, it didn't have the content filtering section or DHCP list that the HTTP interface had. (Maybe I just didn't see that in the telnet interface, it's entirely possible). I'm used to using WinRoute Pro, a software router that's so easy to set up that switching from it to a Netgear router was a step backwards. Even more than the need to go to two different interfaces to configure the router, filtering and port. The redirect setup was so confusing. It took me days to figure out how to open the web and ftp ports. In my search for help in this area, the Netgear site was useless. I found many other people with the same questions and finally found an answer on someone's personal website on how to do things right. (Remember I didn't read the router's manual and as far as I know I didn't need to.) I believe the router can do anything you want it to, which is why I gave it 3 stars. . I also believe that you will find it difficult to set up the router the way you want, which is why it didn't get 5 stars. I ended up returning the RP411 router and replacing it with a Siemens SpeedStream 2 port. DSL/cable router. It was cheaper and the user interface is incredibly simple. It only comes with two ports but I have hubs so no big deal. And to top it off, internet connection was faster with the SpeedStream than with the RP411. When trying to troubleshoot the open ports issue on the RP411, I noticed that many people mentioned that the router was slowing down their internet speed.
