Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Enhanced Performance Dual Radiator Fan - Derale 16934 by Jeb Moorehead

Mine were installed on my Chevy Big Block 454 Dualy.

Mine was installed on my Chevy Big Block 454 Dual. I installed with a fan controller derale 16788. The only problem I had with the installation was finding a suitable ground for the controller box itself. [Small Black Wire] I upgraded my alternator to a 300 amp model and also installed an extra battery for the backup amps. These kids need juice! I've been using them for about a year now and had to change the wiring harness at one point due to the Florida heat. [Placement unsuccessful] It's melted! I use this truck to haul my Lance 1181 camper and tow my 15 foot Bayliner across the Florida Keys. I have to say hearing fans scream can be a little overwhelming. You move some air. It was over 100 degrees in Ohio Key the second week of April and I had no overheating issues. My truck has a custom hood, so I had to fold down the radiator and fans to close the hood. I have a feeling that any aftermarket installed by a newbie is going to cause some problems. This equipment must be wired by someone familiar with 12 volt electricity, vehicle wiring and electrical current theory, and have the tools to install it correctly. Derale has been around for a long time and is a quality piece. I also carry the included relay kit and an extra fan in case it fails. After a few years, the original fans had to be replaced. I ordered two Derale 16925 which blew up within a few days. I couldn't use the warranty because they sat for a year before I installed them. Big mistake on my part. Disassembled them and found they were not Bosch as advertised here on Amazon, but Tripac. Tripak is Eurotrash. Starting at $280.00 dollars. Look around Ebay and you can still find a Bosch, but that's all Derale has returned to Flex-a-lite.
