I've had it for a month now and it works like a champ. Just always remember to unplug when changing the water, you should never turn it on while the water is below the waterline. This applies to heaters of any brand. To update! Okay, it's been about 10 months now. Still works like new! Another update! October 29, 20131 and 8 months later and he's still working. The best heater ever! To update! 6/18/2014 Over 2 years This heater still works, I originally used it in a 30 gallon tank. About 6 months ago I switched to a 55 gallon tank and used the same heater. It has no problem keeping the temperature. I've also noticed all the reviews that have been added since my first review. It's amazing to see that everyone else is enjoying this heater, some of you have had bad experiences with it, it sucks, but it's a cheap heater so buy another one. Update again! May 3, 2016 Guess what? 4 years later it still works in my 55 gallon tank. The best heater ever! I remember buying these because my expensive heater I once had broke twice. The first time was after 8 months it stopped working so I got a warranty replacement but that replacement stopped working after 6 months. So I said it sucks! Let's try this cheap one and see what happens. I've never followed a product review like this haha
