Does not float when the tripod is in the handle! Check before you rely on it!
It was a great grip. Test it before you rely on it to save your GoPro camera. We threw ours in the pool to check it out before heading to the lake. He drowned straight off the GoPro Hero 4 (no backpack or anything). I took the tripod out of the grip and it hovered normally. I need to test the LCD backpack on a GoPro. I'm not sure if it floats or not. Other than that I really like it and just need to make sure I get my hands on something when I might have to rely on the float to save my camera.
