A few months ago the largest framed painting in our house (about 65 pounds) accidentally fell off the wall on our outside stair case. At 3 a.m. the glass of the painting shattered and the frame jammed, completely blocking the stairway to the second floor. Plus huge grooves in the wooden railing, Newell's post. We cleaned up the mess (our second flight of stairs helped us), drank some vintage whiskey, and went back to bed. $175 museum quality glass later, we were afraid to hang the painting again because we couldn't figure out why it fell off the sturdy hook, which was embedded in the wall. However, after mentioning this to a neighbor, we think the painting fell due to heavy construction going on across the street for over a year. The vibrations from the heavy equipment were terrible and could rattle glasses and dishes. Now that the build is complete, let's hope this three prong hanger does what it says on the tin.
