Review on UGREEN Bluetooth Wireless Transmitter Keyboards by Tim Bunker

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not what I expected. If you are looking for an audio transmitter, it may be worth going for an external type of headphone.

Update: UGREEN contacted me after I left this review and offered to refund me for a product that was not working properly and even offered me a replacement when a new model came out. It is clear to me that UGREEN stands behind their products. If you have purchased this product and it is not working properly, please contact them to see what they can do. I bought this device to use as an audio transmitter. I had a hard time setting this up on my Windows 10 computer. After installing the software, I was able to connect it to my bluetooth receiver. My biggest concerns are call quality and latency. I tried pairing with a few other Bluetooth receivers and when the device wasn't within 5ft the quality degraded noticeably. I also tried different transmitters like my phone and had no problem with my bluetooth receiver. I currently have it plugged into a USB extender and tethered to a monitor for perfect line of sight. Even then, at 15ft, I hear crackling and there is a large delay (5 seconds). After the song plays, the sound is pretty smooth, with a few crackles. To be honest I think this will work well with low bandwidth applications like keyboards. Skip reminds me of anti-skip on CD players when they move too much. The sound just cuts off quickly.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Clearly bad product
