Now it doesn't even load the bluetooth app.

I tried to use it to replace my 3.0 because I think it didn't work well (already 5 years) and it doesn't work. All I use bluetooth for is a wireless headset and this thing can't even handle it. Edit 1: I originally gave this one 1 star, but I switched my PC driver from WDM to MME and now it works fine. Edit 2: The app they use to boot "Bluetooth" on this dongle stopped working and won't even boot on my PC now. That brings us back to a star! Hooray!

Pros
  • Large selection

It just doesn't work - the program is poorly written

Update: a few months later. As well as after removal. It's still on my Win 10 system and restarted my PC twice for no reason. Windows says your program threw up an error that caused the reboot. I had to use a special "uninstaller" to remove all items. I hope there won't be any sudden reboots. Wanted to connect my Win10 PC to the speaker I have. The wireless speaker works with my phone, I want the ease of use of a PC that I use a lot. First, there are files on the mini-disk from 2014, I tried to

Tested for Linux: Bluetooth network adapter

I bought this to test with Linux. Using Ubuntu and Bluetooth Manager, the dongle works, but performance varies. Seemed very sensitive to objects between the dongle and the BT device. The Sony earbuds would occasionally turn off when my hands were between them, even though the earbuds were only 20 inches from the button. Keyboards and mice, same results. The Linux BT Manager showed large differences in transfer rates even when the devices were stationary. I'm looking at the registry settings on…

Unreliable and inconsistent

Bought so my son can use bluetooth headphones with his computer. They keep dropping the signal even though it's never more than 10 feet from the computer, and sometimes you have to restart the computer to reconnect them. Even when the headphones are literally inches from the button, sometimes they don't recognize anything. And no, the problem is NOT in the headphones. I've since bought a whole different Bluetooth adapter that never loses signal, never needs headphones repaired, etc. Don't waste

Pros
  • Great for a small home

  • Functionality

Update: UGREEN contacted me after I left this review and offered to refund me for a product that was not working properly and even offered me a replacement when a new model came out. It is clear to me that UGREEN stands behind their products. If you have purchased this product and it is not working properly, please contact them to see what they can do. I bought this device to use as an audio transmitter. I had a hard time setting this up on my Windows 10 computer. After installing the software,

Requires weird software and doesn't recognize my ds4

I bought this hoping to replace my old Bluetooth adapter thinking I could get more range out of it. It comes with a mini CD with a 400+ MB "software driver" installer. I figured it was an unnecessarily bloated software package, so I grabbed the driver directly from their website, but it was exactly the same 400MB installer. Windows can't see the device or find a driver for it itself, so I installed it anyway. Everything worked after installation so I enabled detection and put my ds4 in sync…
