My Whirlpool refrigerator gave a "change filter” warning after a year. I noticed that the water flow in the dispenser also became very slow. I decided to try this filter and I am very satisfied with its work. I unscrewed the old filter (place some paper towels under the dispenser when removing/installing the filter as the water drips a bit) and screwed the new filter into the housing. It only takes about 1/4 turn so don't over tighten. Remember to slowly fill the new filter with water to "prime" it before installation. Now the flow of water has noticeably increased, and the water has become tastier! Great product at a great price.
