You need to download the user manual
I expected to set it up, put my DVD movie in it and it works. BUT I found the remote control not to be user friendly. I had to download the guide to figure out how to get it working with my Vizio Smart TV. I had to switch HDMI channels using the TV remote and then use the player remote to play the movie. (Not all televisions can be programmed to work with a DVD player remote control.)
