I have a colony of anoles. They worked great initially, tiny but bright and very hot. However, these light bulbs are very dangerous. I bought 60. Even if you touch the lamps to rearrange them (e.g. when feeding lizards), they'll burn out instantly, and not just your typical burnout. They exploded in a puff of black smoke with a dangerous and chemical smell. This happened several times in a row, so that within just one day I had to turn off all the lights and replace them with a normal heating lamp. Upon closer inspection, several of the bulbs fell out of their sockets and melted into my sockets, making them almost impossible to remove. A few others (bulbs that did NOT even explode in one hell of a puff of smoke) charred and damaged the sockets so they wouldn't work with any bulb and had to be thrown away. Don't buy this. They are dangerous and pose a real fire hazard.
