Be careful to drill slowly and with water to cool the drill or excessively damage the drill.

When drilling very dense stoneware, this is the only option. Carbide drills just bounced off, barely scratching the surface. Be sure to drill slowly and with water to cool the drill, otherwise the drill may be excessively damaged.
