Review on Powerful and Compact Cadet Com-Pak Plus 8-Inch: Superior Heating Solution for Any Room by Nick Narvasa

PROS: Easy to install, looks like a vent (as it should). CONS: LOUD. I have had this wall heater in a new installation in my office/playroom/guest room for almost a year now. I was trying to decide between a similar Broan model and this one and I liked the Cadet's size, power and performance. The Cadet website likened the sound of this model to the hum of a refrigerator. This is really wrong. I would compare the noise of this fan to that of a hair dryer at low to medium volume as it has the same high pitched hum. I hear it switching on from several rooms. It works; It makes the room cozy but unfortunately we have to adjust the volume of the TV a bit when it turns on and it's too loud to use at night when the guest is sleeping in the room. I secretly hope that this device fails and I can then try my hand at the competition.
