Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ High-Quality EPAX 3D Printer Resin Ideal for LCD 3D Printers by Shane Tomko

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best suited for large format and long prints

I have an elegoo Saturn and an epax x156 printer. I have tried many resins in many different circumstances. Each resin has its strengths and weaknesses. Water soluble resin tends to delaminate easily under pressure or improper support. Standard resin is extremely brittle and very difficult to remove from the build plate. thicken on the FEP during long prints (over 10 hours or so). This resin tends to discolour separately, meaning the color will not retain its consistency throughout the print. In addition, this resin maintains excellent viscosity and print consistency for up to 40 hours. Also, the resin retains excellent flexibility and strength for several months after printing (maybe longer, but I haven't printed anything older). Also, this resin shrinks less than others. While I color all my prints, ink separation doesn't really concern me. So for small and short term prints I use elegoo abs resin. It's a little cheaper. But for large or long prints, there's nothing better. A few tips: Print in an ambient temperature of 75f degrees or higher. When adding resin, slowly pour it onto the worktable without stopping the printing process. Don't add too much resin at once. Temperature differences can cause adhesion failures in the current layer, causing the print to adhere to the phenolic layer and fail.

Pros
  • Same performance as ABS. Solid with great hardness.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
