Review on πŸ“‘ Superior Connectivity: Actiontec WCB3000N Dual-Band Wireless Network Extender and Ethernet Over Coax Adapter by Andre Parsons

Works with Verizon FIOS, easy to install

I have a Verizon FIOS service with an Actiontec MI424WR router. I had a very poor WiFi signal in my bedroom. After some research I found this solution to extend my Wi-Fi signal and decided to give it a try. The wireless network extender must be connected with a coaxial cable. Since I have a TV in my master bedroom, I already had the coaxial cable. However, this must be taken into account by a potential buyer. Everything you need comes with an extension cord. Installation was very easy. I unplugged the coax cable from my DVR. I connected the coaxial cable to the splitter supplied by Actiontec. I then used two short Actiontec coax cables to connect 1) from the splitter back to the DVR and 2) from the splitter to the wireless extender. I then plugged the wireless extender's power cord into a power outlet. Then the WiFi extender did the rest. It turned on and automatically contacted my Verizon router for a network name and password. In addition to the 2.4GHz signal, the extender provides a 5GHz signal with the same network name but with 5G added at the end and with the same password as the 2.4GHz signal. Now I get a great Wi-Fi signal where I used to have a frustrating dead zone. I am very comfortable. I've seen price fluctuations on Revain. I bought it for about $86 with free prime shipping and feel like it's a good solution to my problem.
