Buying new laces after mine broke was such a small change, but it made a big impact! I didn't know how tight I had to tie other laces to feel secure on skates until I got this one. They are incredibly strong (thick!), long and very colorful! With my black boots and toe protectors, the iridescent patches add a nice pop of color that I'm very happy with. If you're like me and just stuck with the standard laces because you didn't think they would make a difference, you should consider upgrading your laces. You're probably already looking for some of these since you're reading a shoelace review, but they're worth it. I will be using Derby Laces in the future.
