Review on Genwiss Dive Light - Underwater Flashlight for Scuba Diving Activities | 1000 Lumens, 80M Depth | Rechargeable Battery & USB Charging by Brent Shaeffer

Revainrating 3 out of 5

You get what you paid for.

I have a dive shop and wanted to compare it to the more expensive end product we were selling. I dived with this light on a shallow 40ft fresh water dive. The first thing that struck me was that the switch was very light and easy to toggle. Every time it rubbed against your gear, it turned on. I personally don't like it. After about 25 minutes in the water, the light dropped to about 1% off charge and on medium settings. After the dive I noticed moisture in the light. I did not lubricate the o-rings before use. Just charged the battery and used the flashlight out of the box. Make sure the O-rings are lubricated before first use. It also comes with a very cheap charger. So, like I said, you get what you paid for. It's perfect as a backup light for scuba divers. This rating is based on personal preference only and during 1 freshwater dive.
