I think it would have been better with Google. For true beginners, the author does not explain much - how to start a new row (and common mistakes!), How to read a knitting pattern, how to roll a ball of yarn. And that's exactly what I've noticed in the short time I've been knitting. Maybe over time I'll use schemes, but from one perspective I have no idea what I'm doing and want to try it? Not this book.
