There are no problems releasing the tension on the regular tensioner, but as soon as the knobs were installed and I tried to remove the tension, the pen immediately fell off. I ended up having to use a vice that I couldn't fit the cheat bar in and just pull as hard as I could to finish tightening the strap, all the while thinking about how much I was using my fingers in their uncrushed state love. It wasn't the best of times, although it didn't last long. If it needs to be touched again I'll probably change the pulley (the part that actually failed) and jump to the old factory tensioner from there. However, since the bobby pin was too soft, I was hesitant to use anything else. And that's always my concern with online auto parts versus a local store. I couldn't wait for this to get back in the mail so I'm stuck trying to get it working.
