Perfect fit and eliminates the horrible noise made by the original broken tensioner. This part actually has TSBs from Toyota, expect them all to fail at 100,000 miles or sooner. Although the part is perfect, the repair is not for the mechanically ignorant. This involves loosening the front engine mount and lifting the engine to remove the main bolt. This can be dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. Just a warning.

Very good tensioner. My 2003 Corolla had the original tensioner. Decided to replace since she was 14 years old. Did a little research on what's the best buy. Aftermarket products are well known to not last as long as OEM. This gates was set up easily and without any problems. Interestingly, I checked the back before installing it and it said "Made in Canada". The product description says "China". Not sure if everyone says "Made in Canada" or did I accidentally get one there? Overall a good buy.

There are no problems releasing the tension on the regular tensioner, but as soon as the knobs were installed and I tried to remove the tension, the pen immediately fell off.
