Super easy I would highly recommend the hydraulic crimping tool and the tool that comes with the rack bolt kit is very easy to remove. I ended up using a very small adjustable wrench which did the trick, it looks fantastic and is pretty easy to install. I would recommend putting 2 decorative grommets on the cables before installation, one on each side where they will screw into the wall and into the rack to cover the notch you twist to put them in the rack or whatever screwing just looks cleaner with a hollowed out wood dowel over the screws to give it a finished look rather than a crimped medallion clasp
