This SSD enclosure looks fantastic and has a solid build for the price it should be. If you are unsure whether the connector fits your SSD, look for pictures of M.2 connectors. Opening the back reveals the SSD slot, which has multiple slots for a rubber grommet to attach an NVMe 2242, 2260, or 2280 SSD. Installing an SSD is a fairly simple process, the Samsung MZ-VLW512A slides in with no problem. The housing is IP67 certified, which means that it is protected against both dust and short-term immersion in water, and I can believe that it is a solid state drive. The compartment door pivots and closes like a jet or submarine hatch. USB-C port open without rubber door. This shouldn't be a problem as long as the power supply is not connected. I don't know if there is internal circuitry to protect the SSD in case the enclosure and the device powering it are submerged. It's best to let it dry before attempting to plug it in. There was a minor hiccup when I first plugged it in - my PC's front USB 3 ports (which successfully hit 100+ MB/s with external hard drives) only output USB 2 at 38 Mb/s. Switching to the rear USB ports allowed files to be transferred at the expected speed. After copying a 126GB file into the Sabrent case, I was able to get a consistent speed of 300MB/s with a slight slowdown at the very end. Immediately copying the same file from the Sabrent case back to my computer, the initial speed of 300MB/s dropped to 150MB/s after about 1 minute and stabilized at that level. Perhaps this is a limitation of the SSD, not the case. The case surface near the Type-C port got hot up to 100F, but it wasn't the most ventilated and coolest part of my desk. All in all, it's a durable case that lets you carry your M.2 SSD on the go, read at high speeds on supported devices, and protect your data. Perhaps this is a limitation of the SSD, not the case.
