Review on ☕️ Le Creuset Deep Teal Enamel On Steel Whistling Tea Kettle, 1.7 qt. by Paul Ajayi

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not great for the price

I've been looking for the perfect, beautiful kettle for a long time. I figured I wouldn't go wrong with Le Creuset, so despite the mediocre reviews, I took the plunge for this $100 teapot. (I tried Chantal Catherine first but it was dented.) This teapot is very pretty and looks great on the stovetop, but it just isn't stunning. Removing the lid is very difficult. Don't even try it when it's hot. Cooling pen - not so much. You should have oven mitts to pick up the kettle after boiling. Finally, when you fill it to more than 56 ounces, the water will pour out of the spout as it boils. The attached video shows what 64 ounces is. boiling water looks like. In Le Creuset's defence, the kettle is said to be rated at 1.7 litres. If you boil exactly 1.7 liters, the water will not overflow. 55 oz. is located just below the large opening of the spout as shown in the photo. After all, it's good, it's beautiful, it's Le Creuset, but is it worth $100? Probably no.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
