Description of ☕️ Le Creuset Deep Teal Enamel On Steel Whistling Tea Kettle, 1.7 qt.

Crafted from lightweight carbon steel to quickly bring water to a boil. Vibrant porcelain enamel is non-reactive, non-porous, and resists stains, rust, scratches and flavor absorption. Fixed single-tone whistle alerts when water has reached a rolling boil, and can be easily flipped open for pouring. Convenient markings inside kettles note minimum and maximum water fill levels. Black handles and stainless steel handle brackets ensure secure handling.

Not great for the price

I've been looking for the perfect, beautiful kettle for a long time. I figured I wouldn't go wrong with Le Creuset, so despite the mediocre reviews, I took the plunge for this $100 teapot. (I tried Chantal Catherine first but it was dented.) This teapot is very pretty and looks great on the stovetop, but it just isn't stunning. Removing the lid is very difficult. Don't even try it when it's hot. Cooling pen - not so much. You should have oven mitts to pick up the kettle after boiling. Finally…

Rusty very good for kitchen and dining room

I used this kettle daily for about 2 years before it rusted, luckily it's covered by Le Creuset's 5 year kettle guarantee so I was concerned about this one problem to her. It has never been put in the dishwasher or misused so I was quite disappointed that the enamel must have just worn away with everyday use. I was willing to pay the price to have a durable product. My grandmother had Le Creuset products that she kept throughout her adult life so I was hoping for the same quality when I paid so

Disgusting Dirty Water - Check Kettle

4 months after buying this kettle we noticed dark "flakes" in the boiled water. We wiped the inside with a paper towel and were shocked to find a disgusting thick dark brown coating. To make sure our tap water wasn't to blame, we boiled the water three times in a LeCruset kettle and in a stainless steel "control" pot. Result? Rubbing the test cup produced a clear paper towel. The LeCruset kettle again gave off an unpleasant dark residue. We don't know how long the darkness inside the kettle and

Pretty but not as functional as the old one

For the Le Creuset price, I expect it to be beautiful and functional. We had an older version of this kettle, 6 or 7 years old, which unfortunately was left without water on the hob and was ruined. I bought this to replace it. It turned out to be the same shape and size, and the 1 4/5 quart capacity suggests enough water could be heated for several cups of tea. true life. One of the first instructions is not to fill it beyond a certain level, which is illustrated in the booklet. Since this…

Good but not great for cookware

I was dying to spice up my cooking games with cookware of known quality and something better than Le Creuset. I had a kettle but it was a cheaper version with a smaller capacity and didn't look as pretty. When I first received it I saw that it had Le Creuset stickers on it which I think should be removed before first use. There was also a sticker on the underside of the lid that had to be removed. I will say that the sticker on the outside was easily removed leaving virtually no residue. The…
