First, I'm a good mechanic. I do all the oil changes myself, change shock absorbers and help with changing the clutch. My dad who helped me and built/restored his cars is a better mechanic than me. We had a terrible time installing this kit, although once installed it seems very solid. 1.Installation. The black powder coat itself needs to be applied thickly because if you try to thread the backplate screws through the rear tube frame, the extra metal on the screws will prevent a direct install due to the piano wire stretched over the backplate screws. It is VERY difficult to thread these screws through the clutch without damaging the backplate screw threads. After much swearing, we got them. Finally, after everything is installed, you can see in the photos I've included that the head of the main bolt sits too high on the rear bumper, preventing the bumper hole cover from sitting flush and it seems to work itself out jump out. We had a terrible experience installing this kit. I "may" raise a star if we can bring my father's newly purchased 2011 trailer home next weekend. But the fact that the bolt will eventually be visible makes me very angry as I am proud of my clean truck.
