I bought these because I had LED brake lights for my 1998 Honda Accord. Dashboard. In the end, the lack of a clean dash annoyed me, so I ordered them to fix that. (Original brake lights use 21w in case anyone needs to know) It was a little tricky to install as the mounting screws I received didn't go through the resistor cooling fins. So I used a Dremmel with a cut-off wheel as the grinding/grinding wheel. Stored the cooling fin next to the screw mount so I can securely attach it to the car frame. I also put some heat reflective tape on the trunk panel as I melted a hole in it on the previous attempt. (Also why did I mount it this time) So far, about 2 months, it has been working fine. The brake lights are just as bright as before. Turning it off was no problem and the error light didn't come back on. If they ever come loose I will crimp a few plugs and sockets in the system so they can be removed in the future if needed should they ever need to be replaced or a future owner wants to go back to incandescent bulbs. However, they are fine for now.
