Fits and works perfectly. My old one only put out about 13.6v and the new one 14.2v. My local NAPA charged $170 for a REMAN and in the past I've had bad luck with a REMAN that lasted less than a year and then they wanted over $300 for a NEW . It might be more expensive than most other alternators here on Revain for the 5.3 Vortec but remember this is an OEM part, it's new and beats the price at any auto parts store. If you want an alternator, better get a used one from the junkyard, or go for the cheapest REMAN that's freshly cleaned, sometimes painted, and replaced the voltage regulator with a cheap, brittle one. Get NEW quality parts whenever you can! Parts painted with REMAN spray paint are prohibited!
