Review on Trudeau Double Lever Corkscrew Black by Michelle Doebke

This tool is poorly designed and extremely dangerous. I used a similar Trudeau double lever last July and due to the dangerous design, the tool snapped the top of the bottle resulting in a break that required 18 clamps. The problem is that they put the bottle opener inside the tool (rather than outside like some other manufacturers). This sharp bottle opener touched the rim of the wine bottle and the pressure of the pull tore off the neck. I heard a snap and then realized I was wide open. I was taken to the emergency room for stitches. This tool should not be on the market.
