I wasn't sure my wild tortoise would like this. We rescued her when we found her with a cracked tank and set up a paddock for her in the backyard. Initially things were going well with the patch and we thought it was healing, but when she came out of hibernation this spring the crack widened. It's time for something with a calcium supplement. She's not particularly picky about her food, but she's fierce and doesn't have much variety in her enclosure. I added the block just after patching the crack back up and was surprised to find it gnawing at the edges. Relief to see that she is getting the nourishment she needs. We also gave her a Zoo Med squid that she uses.
