Worked for an open OUTSIDE door!

This solved a huge problem for me. We've had break-ins from our backyard and attempts to break into the house, but the back door opens outward, not inward. We didn't know what secondary security to use in case the lock was picked. This chain was the right length and very strong. Nobody gets like that. And the door doesn't open wide enough to cut the chain from the outside (you can see it in the first photo). For the installation I used a tiny metal drill bit on a hammer drill as we have steel doors. After that, the bolts attached to the chain worked perfectly. The finish also matched my current polished nickel hardware. Very happy.
