Review on Gator 4347 5-Inch Random Orbit Hook & Loop Red Resin Aluminum Oxide Sanding Discs, 40 Grit by Alan Brewer

I bought a smaller one and there is a noticeable difference between them. They have a stiffer base, none of them are labeled as Gators, just the grit is labeled the same as other knockoffs I've tried. The problem with a harder pad is that they'll fly off the sander faster as they lose their ability to stick to the pad. Long before the seal actually wears out. So yes, prepare to replace them more often. And some of them are closer to 60 grit, especially after some sanding. Overall, yes, they work, but the issues above don't make them the value they originally started with.
