The highest quality air filter you can ever expect from K&N. I don't typically drive the full 50,000 miles they recommend before the first wash, but I'm pretty sure it's possible depending on driving conditions. The device itself is easy to clean in the sink and dries very quickly, just standing up. The only thing that bothers me about this particular filter is the rubberized edges. They're a bit thicker than the stock filter, which causes the top of the air filter to rise a bit higher when you try to close it back up. This made the assembly much more difficult to close, especially given the location of the rear bolt in the Toyota Highlander. The first few times I tried to use the socket wrench, having to press (hard) on the airbox was useless to me.
