Review on Elitech CLD-100 Refrigerant Leak Detector for Car HVAC Systems: Halogen Gas, CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs by Sal Muniz

I bought this for fun and just to see how it works. I've had several cheap tools that are absolute champions! This is one of them. I just got the detector and did some testing with my gauge manifold and some refrigerant tanks. To my surprise, this thing is amazing. I have yet to compare it to our $400 detectors but I will use it in the HVAC/r range and review it. Tried p-22, 134a, 404. So far so good. So I'm mid-September. Every time I pulled out my field detector, I pulled out this little contraption. Trust me, even the other techs laughed but were surprised. He seems to hit 134a harder than anything else. If you're into crafts this will work, but test with soap to make sure it's a hit as moisture and/or dust/dirt and even picking this thing up will do. Again, for $20 I can safely say I bought less for more.
