Excellent product for its price

I am very satisfied with Elitech. Easy to use. I did a lot of research online looking for different sniffers and this one turned out to be the most popular and easiest to use.

Pros
  • Many positive emotions
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Good device, best among tools and gadgets

Like other reviews I wasn't expecting much from this but it works very well. And like one of the other reviewers said, because of the condensation, don't get it wet or it will beep like it's found a leak. Keep the nozzle about 1/4 inch from a hard surface when checking for leaks and it should work great for you.

Pros
  • Good marks from testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Negative impression

Not expensive but still great.

I gotta let the refrigeration guys know how good these little fellas are, he found the Freon 134a leak with no problems, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars for accuracy got, is because - Misleading for a few times, but still very accurate, not expensive tool, didn't expect it to be that good.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not bad

Amazing little tool!

An unbeatable deal, looks good and performs great if you use it properly and follow the instructions that come with it. It even comes with a carrying case. UPDATE: After about a month he started misbehaving. He didn't stop beeping. The seller came and returned the money. Excellent customer service.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Modern

THE TECHNICIAN MUST HAVE THE TOOLS!

I had one and spent $300 on it. I got this sniffer two weeks ago for $20. It works better than my $300 sniffer. It makes me look very professional. save me time I used to blow lines to find leaks. Never. Follow the audio signal. It says it will take 24 hours, which is a lot of snooping. For $20? There will always be a new additional waiting time. This and an ammeter I just bought for very low amps are a MUST HAVE for appliance repair people. Thank you - Chuck - Appliance Technician - Hot…

It works out! And save $$$!

This device works! A dream come true when you try to find a leak in a supercharged air conditioner. In less than 2 minutes, this unit confirmed my car's under hood A/C lines were leak free, but found a subtle leak in the evaporator core that (because it's hidden behind a baffle) wasn't visible in the UV paint test . The manual is a little confusing (it mistakenly mentions "siren" as a leak indicator), but the device itself is dead simple to use - it's like a Geiger counter for refrigerant leaks

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled

However, I am completely inexperienced.

I found my leak in 3-4 minutes. Maybe not even that. There was a metal line called "liquid line" (from the condenser to the evaporator) that I think I can remove myself with a bit of work, so I bought that, as well as a whole kit that included a vacuum pump and Fittings for adding freon. to my AC unit. If I'm successful, the whole repair will cost me $200, even though 127 of these is a kit that I can use over and over again. Thanks to the guys on the Jeep Forum and also on YouTube. IF you buy…

Pros
  • few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

For $20 I'm shockingly surprised!

I bought this for fun and just to see how it works. I've had several cheap tools that are absolute champions! This is one of them. I just got the detector and did some testing with my gauge manifold and some refrigerant tanks. To my surprise, this thing is amazing. I have yet to compare it to our $400 detectors but I will use it in the HVAC/r range and review it. Tried p-22, 134a, 404. So far so good. So I'm mid-September. Every time I pulled out my field detector, I pulled out this little…
