Device works as advertised but is more suited to hard drives than audio interfaces. The noise never went away, but the noise level probably increased by 300-500%. Hissing can be heard even without playback and at a fairly low volume. It sounds almost the same as playing an audio cassette. Apart from the Presonus Firebox, there were no other devices on the hub. I've tried multiple ports and multiple cables with no success. I give it 3/5 stars because I intended to use it for Firewire Audio + Firewire HDD with my Mac mini. But I'm sure it's great with FireWire drives.
