Great for small works or planning larger works in the field, these pads do not have the usual "canvas" paper, but rather actual canvas. Each sheet is gessoed on one side and natural on the other. The edges are glue-bound at the top. They are fastened firmly enough to stay bound if you want to use this as a sketchbook, but the pages can be removed for framing. The first sheet in each book is attached more firmly to the cover, so you lose about 1/4 of an inch on that side. Great for artists who work in small spaces, on the go, or who want to do small acrylic studies. Good also for experimentation, students, teens, and beginners.
