Review on πŸ–οΈ Faber-Castel FC112160 Pitt Pastel Pencils: 60-Pack Assorted Colors in Metal Tin by Denise Davis

Great pastel pencils!

These pencils can be a better solution than wax, oil or water based pencils. Pastels are much easier to blend and I prefer a natural matte finish. These pastels are harder than Derwent's, which I also like. I use different blend sizes and precision-tipped cotton swabs to achieve the desired effect. Pastels tend to get messier with leftovers, but if I make mistakes the medium rubs off easily. I use a Faber-Castell pencil eraser with a brush to clean up my work. 60 colors may not seem like a lot compared to the 72 or 120 that other types offer, but the ease of mixing makes the possibilities endless. I sharpened some of my pastel pencils with an electric sharpener and they had no broken tips. Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality and luminosity of the colors.
