They are great for use in post turbo cat posts. I have a WRX and they have been popular for a while as many WRX owners use aftermarket flat flange downpipes with stock or aftermarket mufflers that have a bent flange designed for o-rings. They can be used to seal these two types of flanges without purchasing an adapter. However, they are soft and brittle, so they can only be used for a round or two of downspout installation before you need to replace them. Also, some people buy Remflex gaskets trying to seal lines in front of the turbo and they can't handle the extra heat and pressure. This review is about a 3 inch gasket that will not fit in a Subaru where these issues can occur.
