After college I bought a new laptop with only two USB ports. And being a power user wasn't enough. So I researched what product to get and found Type-C ports on USB 3.1. Not only did it have a great price, but it also had great reviews. So I decided to take it as others had a pretty big jump in price. And I have no regrets after receiving it. It has quite a long cord which is great for organizing my workspace. And it's also compact enough to be carried around without noticing the weight. The plating gives a premium feel and the connectors are perfectly straight and tight. While some of the cheaper ones I tried were bent and loose.
