The magnets themselves are good and the adhesion really helps with lining up both pieces. My only complaint is at the least bit of resistance, the screws strip too easy. I predrilled the hold and tried many bits that 'should' have worked for the size heads these have and almost every screw I've installed has stripped. I've installed 6 so far and they are keeping the cat out of the cabinets, but I'm thinking about buying new screws for the remaining ones I have to install, which will add more to the cost of the project, albeit a little, it would still be nice to actually just have to buy one kit and not worry about it.
