I have a couple of similarly shaped connectors but I bought this one because of 4xUSB-A + 1xUSB-C. (Others had no USB-C and almost no USB-A) Works very well as a compact, simple USB connector for general use out of the country. The pins seem to be strong enough and European and American style plugs have recently been able to be used in the US, Romania and Japan with no problems. , they do not change the voltage or frequency of the current flowing through them, they only allow one type of connector to work with another. This works great for something like a computer or device with its own AC/DC converter (they can usually support all common frequencies and voltages), but if you're looking for something around 220V -> 110V or 50Hz -> 60 Hz, there are other products that do this.
