I used this rug in my daughter's room to protect the rug under her art table. It is very soft (be careful when walking on it with socks as it is very smooth/silky and can be slippery when walking). It's easy to vacuum, but you need to turn on the vacuum after you put it on. carpet, and then stay on the carpet while vacuuming, without going over the edges. Otherwise, if you turn on the vacuum when it's not on the carpet and then try to roll it across the carpet, it will suck up the carpet and get stuck in the vacuum. Our Wyze robot vacuum has no problem with that, but it doesn't pick up carpet or get stuck, so that's a plus. As for the vacuum plastic and the shrink wrap it comes in, I think it's a bit over the top. The vacuum bag works great with no additional shrink wrap over it. And yes, the rug tends to wrinkle with this storage, but I took it out of the box and laid it out in the living room. Then I "rolled"/slid my socks all over the carpet for about 5 minutes trying to focus on the creases the most and that made it so much better. Look at my picture of him (not in my daughter's room) and you can see what he looked like right after I did it with my feet. Has helped a lot. Then I left it there overnight. Everything was fine up until then and I put it in my daughter's room, vacuumed it and put her art table on it. It smelled a bit strong at first, but I just sprayed a lot of breeze. on it before leaving it overnight. In the morning there is no more smell and all wrinkles are gone. Haven't tried cleaning it yet so can't say much, but looks like it can be easily cleaned with the spot treatment spray I have. Or maybe it's flexible enough to be thrown in the wash since it's not too stiff. I think it's worth the money and I'm thinking of buying another one or two to cover my daughter's entire bottom just for fun lol. She loves it and keeps laying on it and talking about how soft it is!
