Review on πŸ”§ Efficient Performance Tool W38166 3/8" Dr 14mm Spark Plug Socket – Enhanced Productivity! by Antonio Rojas

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well but the rubber "plug holder " came out after the 2nd plug and stayed on the plug

Overall the socket works fine and is strong enough to remove spark plugs and plug install - I would give this 5 stars except that on the second plug the little rubber ring holding the plug in the socket came out of the socket when the tool was removed from the car - and anyone who has ever plugged into a modern The cure knows most are down, in connector tubes, where they're hard to reach, so I had to remove the connector, remove the rubber retainer from the connector, and then put the retainer back into the socket - then I could didn't even hold the socket when pulled out, so I had to resort to the rest of the other two forks. I think I solved this problem myself by applying some RTV silicone (AKA Permatex sealant) around the edge of the rubber holder and plugging it back into an outlet and letting it dry - seems to work fine, but I've only had it tested once on a bench with an old fork so we'll see next time I have to use it to replace a set of forks if my repair is delayed.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
