Instructions are not good

At first I had no experience and I had to watch a lot of YouTube videos and read reviews to find out everything. All in all it took me 6-8 hours for everything. The instructions that came with the product are completely useless. I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler with an OEM touch screen. The kit includes two connectors that you plug into the back of the radio. I was approached by the one whose contacts were on the left and not in the middle. It has a yellow connector that goes into the radio jack and I left a red wire that was cut off. I connected the shorter red and black wires to the splitters. Red wire to passenger tail light which should be a white and gray striped wire. Then black wire to rear ground. (I cut them with wire cutters as there were quite a lot of wires). to download the license from the "OBD JScan" app that I downloaded to my phone. Once I did that, I was able to go into settings and enable the rear camera setting in the app. Overall, I'm glad I spent just over $100 to install the camera myself. A simple trip to the dealership just to unlock the radio can cost $100-$200 depending on how much they charge for the job. This will likely be a quick install for those who know what they are doing and can quickly disassemble and reassemble the jeep.
