Reliable rear view camera priced at

I have decided to upgrade the factory radio in my 2014 Wrangler JK (with 6 speed manual transmission) to a new Pioneer that supports Apple Car Play and a rear view camera. Installing the rear camera was pretty easy. I had to hook up the reverse light because I have a manual transmission, but I used a good T-tap/quick connector and it was easy. The overall image quality is pretty solid... I'll give it an 8/10 rating. It's not HD quality, but hey, for $60 I'm impressed. It works every time I…

Great aftermarket addition

Read PeterV's review on adding to a factory deck first. I installed this while installing a non-genuine KENWOOD deck so I didn't have to program anything. The instructions are clear enough to get familiar with and running the cable from the back to the front of the Wrangler is so easy and takes about 5 minutes. I recommend using tees to connect to the reverse and ground wire instead of the connectors included in the kit. Once you have the wires hooked up behind the stereo, simply connect the…

The perfect camera for my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 6spd

Others claimed it took 1 hour. Me, a common non-mechanic, took 4 hours. But hey, it works and my wife is happy. (That's the main thing, isn't it?) Here are my gems that I hope will save you hours and hours. First, download the OBD JScan app and buy a Revain OBD Bluetooth reader. (I have a Vgate Wifi iCar2 which costs $22). You must also purchase a Jeep Wrangler license in the JScan app for $18.99 to "flash" your radio. This will save you $120 on a trip to the Jeep dealership. You just need to…

Instructions are not good

At first I had no experience and I had to watch a lot of YouTube videos and read reviews to find out everything. All in all it took me 6-8 hours for everything. The instructions that came with the product are completely useless. I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler with an OEM touch screen. The kit includes two connectors that you plug into the back of the radio. I was approached by the one whose contacts were on the left and not in the middle. It has a yellow connector that goes into the radio jack and

Easy to install even for people with no experience.

Easy installation in my 08 Wrangler JK with original radio system. A few tips: 1. You must unlock the rear camera on your factory stereo. You can ask merchants to do it once for $120 after installation. OROrder an OBD2 scanner and download the OBD2 app. $21 for an OBD Bluetooth scanner on Revain, $20 to unlock the app license so you can access premium usage (change settings, clear codes, etc.). You can then go through the menu in the app and activate the rear view camera on the OEM radio.2. Use

The most important upgrade for your Jeep Wrangler

After drooling over everyone else's backup camera and having trouble reversing with my dark-tinted Jeep JK at night, I started looking for a camera that might work with my stock MyGig head unit. Most solutions required multiple splicing and didn't work properly, for example without a factory plug you had to either make an RCA connection or buy a third party adapter from another vendor. It's not that it bothers me but I want to make sure all the parts work together as I don't like taking my…
