This might be the best sub-$30 upgrade I've found. This hard case attaches to my top bar with an iron crank, won't wobble or wobble, holds snacks and an external battery. I love the case, it never rains in Arizona but I was concerned about the hot sun on my phone on long trips. No problem, the silver finish reflects the sun and cools my phone down. I have an iPhone 7 Plus in a phone holder and it will fit, but be careful if your phone is even 1mm larger it may not fit. Smaller phones like the iPhone 12 will do. I've tried many soft cases that were top bar or handlebar mounted. Nothing worked, they hang around all the time and I have to keep adjusting them. This hard case doesn't move an inch.
