Review on Belt Tensioner: URO Parts 1192000270 - High-Performance and Reliable Automotive Accessory by Carlos Whitfield

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works perfectly! See engine parts

I didn't want to buy because of the previous bad rating. Bought one out of necessity and a previous purchase of a set of coolant hoses from UR0 hoses - the hoses were good quality. I don't know what mechanic has to spend 2 hours ($100 motivation an hour?) to realize they have a faulty tensioner!?!? Installation took 15 minutes.1. Set the pointer to the upper mark - 2 sec2. Insert the adjustment rod into the hole for 2 mins (some manipulation is required) 3. Hand tighten the main bolt and lightly tighten with a wrench - 2 mins4. Align belt - 5 minutes (it continued to slip in some places) 5. Start turning the adjustment rod until the arrow is in the middle of the four marks - 3 minutes. *** If the arrow does not move when the belt starts to tighten, you have a defective part - return it. Don't spend 2 hours scratching your head billing a customer.6. Set the torque wrench to 100 Nm and tighten the main bolt - 2 min.7. Close the hood and remove the tools - 58 seconds.

Pros
  • . Coil spring (where applicable) matches original equipment spring rate for correct belt tension at all engine speeds
Cons
  • . The list will go on.
