Review on πŸ”§ Efficient LS1 Harmonic Balancer & Crank Pulley Installer for GM LS1/LS Engines 1997~Current by Justin Reese

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Basic but works with motors and parts

Of course it's just a piece of hardened threaded bolt, a nut and 2 washers. Anyone can do it themselves by going to a hardware store and doing a little work. Personally, I've decided it's better to let someone else do the work and pay a little more for the convenience. The tool works great as it should. I sharpened 2 parallel flats at the very end of the threaded rod that fits a 12mm open end wrench as common sense tells you it will likely get stuck in the crankshaft after the pulley is installed. Worked great, worth adding this feature to the tool. Otherwise an excellent product. Surprised I didn't think of that. Always used a longer bolt to mount the pulley but then you have to be careful not to let it go all the way into the crank and damage the threads.
