Review on 🔧 Stubby Welding Accessories by RX WELD by Bob Walters

I bought a new welder, new argon tank, new torch and also bought a set of gas lenses. I put everything together to start welding mild steel and I'm having porosity issues. lots of bubbles and pops. Pollution like turning off the bottle. I've been brewing for many years so I'm starting to diagnose the problem. I make sure my solenoid is clicking and I have some pre-flow, continuous gas flow throughout the arc and my under-flow is working, that's verified. I check my system for leaks with a soapy water spray test and burner leaks with a pressure test because I think it might be an air intake that I checked. I was taking my gear over to a friend's house thinking I had a bad gas tank or maybe a bad regulator. I used his tank, his regulator, same thing. I've got all my bases covered here. Using pink #8 cup, tungsten 3/32, lug 3/16 in., 15 cfh. should be good. I'm starting to experiment with different combinations of tungsten and torch consumables. We're swapping out some parts on my buddy's flashlight and running some tests. Seams are improved. We're swapping every part of his torch for mine, the whole gas lens, collet, back cap, bowl. the machine runs perfectly. We run more tests and narrow it down to the point where the problem is only the gas lens itself. We've never seen him. We are at a dead end. This gas lens just shields the gas before it's passed through the bowl, how could it screw up? We put that gas lens back on and used the #4 cup, thinking it would help direct the gas into a more concentrated stream and it improved, but still not great. There is a serious technical issue with the gas lens kit I received as it creates turbulence in the gas so it draws air into its stream. I found these parts defective and completely unusable. I spent half a day diagnosing this problem, time that could have been put into the work. Also, my suitcase was broken into and destroyed upon arrival.
